How to Set Up Automatic Sending of a Message with a File

Note: To ensure the file appears in the selection list for the File field, you must first create a template and upload the file there. Once uploaded, the file will be available for selection in the File field.

  1. Open Your monday.com Board:

  • Navigate to the specific board where you want to set up the automation.

  1. Access Automations:

  • Click on the "Automations" button located at the top right corner of the board.

Add a New Automation:

  • In the Automations Center, click on "Add custom automation."

  1. Customize the Automation:

  • Select the trigger for your automation, such as "When a new item is created."

  1. Choose the Workflow:

  • Select the workflow "Send a message with a file to Telegram by Whatcrm."

  1. Compose Your Message:

  • In the Message box, enter the text of the message you want to send.

  • Click "Done" when finished.

Note: The function for inserting placeholders (masks) in the message text is not yet available, but it will be implemented in the future.

  1. Attach the File:

  • In the File field, select the necessary file from the list of files uploaded earlier in the templates section. Note that only one file can be attached per automation.

The file name will be displayed as the template name in which you saved the file. Please note that only the file itself is pulled into the automation—message text is not included. You will need to manually copy and paste the message text into the message field.
  1. Select the Telegram Number:

  • In the Connected Number field, choose the desired Telegram number from the drop-down list. This is the number from which the message will be sent.

Save the Automation:

  • Click "Create Automation" to save your settings and activate the automation.
