## What is a Board in monday.com?

In monday.com, a **board** is a workspace where you organize, manage, and track specific projects, tasks, or workflows. Each board can represent a different team, department, or project, and it serves as the foundation for all data within your monday.com account.

When you integrate a third-party service or application with monday.com, the integration needs to know where (which board) to send or retrieve data.

Here’s why board selection is important:

1. **Data Flow:** The selected board becomes the destination for incoming data or the source of outgoing data during the integration.
2. **Automation Setup:** Some integrations create or update items (tasks) on specific boards based on triggers (e.g., new email, form submission, etc.).
