What the Group chats function means
Please note that the Group Chats feature is available on the Pro plan. If you need to use this feature, make sure you are on the appropriate tariff.
How it works
Correspondence from WhatsApp groups is synchronized with monday.com (CRM). After a WhatsApp group member replies, an item with the group name is created. All correspondence in the group chat is displayed in Updates or Whatcrm web, you can write to the group from pulses (Update or Whatcrm web tab)
Here's a step-by-step guide on how to create a group chat in the WhatsApp application on your phone:
Open the WhatsApp application on your phone. Ensure you're logged in with your WhatsApp account.
Once you're on the main screen, look for the "Chats" tab usually located at the bottom of the screen and tap on it.
In the Chats tab, locate the chat icon with a pencil or a "New Chat" button, typically located at the top or bottom corner of the screen, and tap on it.
Next, you'll see a list of your contacts. Tap on the contacts you want to add to the group chat. You can select multiple contacts by tapping on each one.
After selecting the contacts, look for the option to create a group chat. It's usually labeled as "New Group" or "Create Group". Tap on it.
You'll be prompted to set a group subject (name) and optionally add a group icon or photo. Enter a name for your group in the provided field.
Once you've set the group name, tap on the "Create" button or icon. This will create your group chat with the selected contacts.
You'll be redirected to the newly created group chat where you can start sending messages, photos, videos, or any other media to all the members of the group.
That's it! You've successfully created a group chat in the WhatsApp application on your phone.
After any participant responds in the group chat in Monday, a lead will be created with the name of the group chat. In the Whatcrm web tab, the entire message history from this group chat will be displayed. You can send text messages, record and send audio messages, share files directly from the CRM to your group chat
How to enable the ''Group Chats'' option
Open the application settings
Click on the change settings button and scroll the slider for group chats
